More than 70 real estate associates in Denver, Colorado participated in a lively 3 class titled 5 Essential Strategies for Serving Seniors on October 18th. This energetic group, made up of mostly agents from the Keller Williams Realty DTC market center, not only received 3 hours of CE credits, but they also walked away with a multitude of ideas about how to create more meaningful conversations, serve seniors during the downsizing process, and engage with their database at a deeper level.
Taught by Nikki Buckelew and Michele Moon and with lunch sponsored by First American Title, 5 Essential Strategies for Serving Seniors equipped REALTORS with tools to not only better serve senior clients, but to appreciate the challenges that they may be experiencing as they make late in life moves.
“Just by understanding the various challenges seniors and their families face, agents can make a positive difference in the lives of their clients as they guide them through the sale or purchase process,” says Moon.
Buckelew adds, “Even agents who aren’t specializing in seniors real estate or housing benefit from this course. I mean, let’s face it, your database is aging and you will undoubtedly be working with seniors whether you choose to be intentional about it or not.”
Beginning in 2013, the Seniors Real Estate Institute will be providing versions of this class to brokerages across the US. Some states have already approved the curriculum for 1 to 3 hours of CE credit and more states will be coming online early next year.
